What is the importance of Project Management Professional (PMP) certification?

The Project Management Professional certification is the flagship course offered by the highly-respected Project Management Institute (PMI) ®, a non-profit professional membership association that provides trainings and certifications in the field of project, program and portfolio management. By standardizing a set of industry best practices to be followed during project management, the PMI® strives to ensure that candidates are ready to meet the challenges of projects and employers around the world.

I don’t have the required prerequisites. Can I still attend the coaching?

You may attend the coaching to gain an in-depth knowledge of project management principles, but without the stated educational qualifications and experience, you cannot appear for the examination.

How many PDUs will I be eligible for?

You will get 35 PDUs on completion of 35 hours of training. These can be used toward your continuing education and recertification requirements with the Project Management Institute (PMI) ®.

    Where are PDUs applicable?

PDUs are credits awarded by the Project Management Institute. They recognize your dedication to the Project Management world through the award of credits for every educational effort you make throughout your career. Every PMI® certification, except the CAPM®, requires you to earn a specific number of PDUs per three-year certification cycle.

Who is the target audience for this course?

This course will be useful for professionals in the following roles, among others:

    Associate Project Managers

    Project Managers

    IT Project Managers

    Project Coordinators

    Project Analysts

    Project Leaders

    Senior Project Managers

    Who provides the certification?

What is the PMP exam format?

The PMP® examination is comprised of 200 multiple-choice questions and has to be completed in 4 hours. Of the 200 questions, 25 are considered pretest questions and do not affect the score.

Please check the PMP® handbook for complete details at this link:

    https://www.pmi.org/-/media/pmi/documents/public/pdf/certifications/project-management-professional-handbook.pdf

How long is the PMP credential valid?

With the exception of the CAPM® credential, all those who earn a PMI certification must actively maintain their certifications through participation in the CCR (Continuing Certification Requirements) Program and renewal of their certifications every 3 years. You can take part in professional development and learning activities to earn Professional Development Units (PDUs), thus fulfilling the continuing certification requirements and ultimately growing and developing as a practitioner.

To maintain your PMP® certification, you must earn and record 60 PDUs every 3 years.

If I cancel the enrollment, will I get refunded?

Any registration cancelled within 48 hours of the initial registration will be refunded in FULL (please note that all cancellations will incur a 5% deduction in the refunded amount due to transactional costs applicable while refunding). Refunds will be processed within 30 days of receipt of written request for refund. Kindly go through our Refund Policy for more details: http://www.mentific.com/refund

When will the classes be held?

Virtual and face-to-face classes are held on both weekdays and weekends. You can check available schedules and choose the batch timings which are convenient for you. If you are in a time crunch, virtual classes may work better for you.

What do I need in order to attend a virtual class?

Your instructor-led live virtual classes will be held online, and you have the flexibility of attending from anywhere. All you need is a windows computer with good internet connection to attend your classes online. A headset with microphone is recommended.

This is validation of the need for talented and qualified project managers, who can steer projects towards success and achieve organizational goals.
